Our story began on the first day of high school in 2010. Andrew was new to the area and didn't know anyone at school. By complete coincidence, we ended up in all the same classes.
As we shared lunch periods, our friendship grew, filled with exchanges of stories and laughs. It didn't take long before we became best friends.
Around November 2012, we started dating and made it official on November 17th.
As high school graduation neared, we faced a major decision: where to go to college. With time running out and no clear choice yet, the uncertainty was stressful. We both wanted to stay together but were unsure how.
We chose to attend Kennesaw State University with the plan to spend a year there before transferring to the University of Georgia together.
After a memorable freshman year at KSU, we took the next big step in our journey: we transferred to the University of Georgia (UGA). Our adventure together continued to unfold in exciting ways.
That summer, we embraced our shared passion for travel by signing up for a study abroad program in Australia. For both of us, the allure of exploring new places was irresistible. This study abroad program wasn't just a chance to travel; it was a perfect opportunity for us to grow together, exploring the world hand in hand. It became one of our most cherished experiences, filled with unforgettable memories.
Returning to Costa Rica for our annual trip, Andrew had a surprise up his sleeve. After 13 years together and 11 years of dating, he chose this place, so dear to Lorraine's heart, for a very special moment. On June 28, 2023, against the stunning backdrop, Andrew proposed!
